Field-based Medical Advisor Pharma – SW/DE/NO/FI – Life Science

About the Role

Are you ready to take on a key role in a dedicated Nordic & BeNeLux Medical Affairs team within a global pharmaceutical company focused on innovation and patient benefit? We are now seeking a field-based Medical Advisor (fbMA) with strong scientific expertise, collaborative spirit and a proactive mindset to contribute to our work within Rare diseases (HAE & Hematology) responsible for Denmark/Norway. We are also seeking two field-based Medical Advisors in the area of Nephrology & immunology who will cover Sweden/Finland respectively Denmark/Norway.


Objectives are:

  • build partnerships with selected physicians and other stakeholders as peers, based on the exchange of the latest scientific information and through medical projects.
  • identify, share, and address unmet medical needs as well as appropriate standards of care in a specific therapy area.
  • support the company´s clinical development programs, initiate local evidence generation projects, and/or oversee Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS).
  • develop and execute the local medical strategic plan as an integral part of the cross-functional brand plan, for your countries of responsibility.
  • provide local and national medical (affairs) expertise for Market Access, Regulatory, Marketing & Sales, and other internal departments (e.g., Medical Information).


Key Responsibilities:


External partnerships: Build and maintain scientific partnerships with physicians (key opinion leaders), scientific experts, and other healthcare stakeholders through non-promotional activities.


Scientific insights: Monitor the situation and needs of patients and healthcare professionals as well as the healthcare system overall; derive insights; and share insights and their implications promptly and effectively with key stakeholders within the company.


Evidence generation and dissemination: Identify local, product-specific evidence

requirements and develop and conduct non-interventional research projects accordingly.

Deliver scientific presentations and/or involve external healthcare professionals for this

purpose, e.g., at advisory boards, symposia, conferences, and trainings


Providing scientific and Medical Affairs expertise within the team: Provide expertise and

knowledge regarding patient pathways within the healthcare system for account teams and other internal stakeholders. Proactively drive medical strategy in your countries.


Scientific training and continuing education: Build and deepen detailed product knowledge and comprehensive knowledge of the therapy areas; share this knowledge internally and externally and discuss it with healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment with the company´s products.
